Reiki Level 3 Certification Requirements

Reiki Level 3 Certification Requirements

To complete your Reiki Level 3 Certification, the following components are required. These elements are designed to support your growth as a Reiki practitioner and deepen your embodiment of the practice:

1. Attend & Participate in All Scheduled Sessions

Active participation in all live group sessions is essential to your integration of the material. These gatherings are opportunities to connect with fellow practitioners, receive attunements, and engage in the sacred container of shared learning.

2. Schedule at Least One 1:1 Coaching Session

Each student must schedule a personal coaching session with the instructor to receive individualized guidance, support, and feedback. This one-on-one time allows space for reflection, integration, and mentorship tailored to your journey.

3. Case Study Submission

As part of your certification, you are required to submit documentation of three Reiki sessions. These Case Studies serve as a reflective practice, inviting you to evaluate your experience and insights as a Reiki practitioner.

Reiki teaches through practice. These Case Studies are not about perfection—they are a mirror for your growth and a tool for deepening awareness. Trust the unfolding.

Case Study Guidelines:

You may submit your Case Studies individually or all at once via email. They can be written in any format that feels authentic to you—essay-style, journal entry, or bullet points. Include the following information for each session:

  • Date of Session

  • Duration

  • Recipient (Name not required; may remain anonymous. Note relationship, if relevant.)

  • Reiki Experience – Is this their first session? How did they learn about Reiki?

  • Reason for Session – Physical ailment, stress, emotional release, curiosity, etc.

  • Location & Setting – Describe the environment where the session took place.

  • Session Details:

    • Hands-on or hands-off?

    • Techniques or protocols used

    • Use of music, aromatherapy, crystals, etc.

    • Chair or table session?

    • Any complementary tools or practices integrated

  • Observations & Insights:

    • How the session unfolded and ended

    • Sensations, awareness, or messages received (by you or the client)

    • Feedback from the recipient, if available

    • Your personal reflections—what worked, what surprised you, and what you might do differently next time

This process is an invitation to explore your intuitive knowing, evaluate your evolving practice, and listen deeply to the teachings Reiki offers through experience.
